This quote perfectly describes Stefan Barg’s personal attitude to life. Curiosity and discovery, searching and finding, analysing and comparing are integral components of his sense of self. His practised philosophy of «the client comes first» and tireless commitment ensures that his clients and candidates are always in good hands.
Stefan Barg grew up in the Zurich lowlands, attended the academic secondary school in Bülach and was already fascinated by the world of informatics from an early age. His first steps on this path at a large retail dealer enabled him to assist in developing the first scanning and warehouse management solutions – which was a first in Switzerland at that time.
His time working as an IT consultant subsequently allowed him to get to know different companies and sectors and to take on different roles within the IT area. Parallel to this, he successfully completed his further training as a business data processing specialist.
From 2001, he gathered international experience at a large global corporate and strategy consultancy firm. His tasks encompassed not only professional research in the IT and digital world, and advising clients and colleagues from different countries and cultures, but also staff leadership. In addition, he was entrusted with the task of developing and implementing an annual global banking IT benchmark, a project he successfully supervised for 8 years.
As Head of Research, Stefan Barg subsequently succeeded in entering the Executive Search area. After a few years, he decided to make himself independent in this field and thus founded his own firm in 2019.
In 2020 Stefan Barg completed a CAS “Digital Finance” at the HWZ.
In private, Stefan Barg is a great sports enthusiast who’s often to be met here and there at big football stadiums or on small grass pitches, and also enjoys skiing and mountain biking.
